Die Stele des Wagenkämpfers Meri-ptah zeigt ihn opfernd vor den Göttern Osiris und Wepwawet. Daraus läßt sich schließen, daß die Stele in Abydos, dem heiligen Ort des Osiris, und nicht direkt im Grab des Meri-ptah aufgestellt war. Die Form der Stele entspricht der bereits im Mittleren Reich häufig belegten mit Rundstab und Hohlkehle über dem rechteckigen Bildfeld.
