Horusstele (Cippus)

Diese magische Stele zeigt das Horuskind als Bezwinger gefährlicher Tiere. Horus steht auf zwei Krokodilen und packt Schlangen, Skorpione und Löwen. Die Stele ist eng mit Darstellungen vor allem von Schutzsymbolen und eingeritzten Inschriften bedeckt. Durch die Aufstellung solcher Stelen erhofften sich die Ägypter magischen Schutz besonders vor den dargestellten Tieren.
