Das Statuenfragment zeigt König Amenophis III. als Sphinx. Vom Löwenkörper sind nur noch die Schultern erhalten. Der König trägt das Königskopftuch mit Uräusschlange und den Götterbart. Das Gesicht ist charakteristisch für Amenophis III.: schräg gestellte, etwas vorgewölbte Augen, sehr plastische Brauen, Lid- und Schminkstriche, üppige Lippen. An der Brust sind zwei Kartuschen mit dem Thron- und dem Geburtsnamen des Königs.
