From March 30 through May 10, 2010 the Museum of Ethnology will be closed for the installation of our next special exhibition. Look forward to our important and spectacular show  “James Cook and the Discovery of the South Seas” which opens at the Museum of Ethnology on May 12, 2010.

Information

For visitors with mobility impairments

  • Entrance: left of the MVK’s main entrance via ramp, automatic door and another ramp into the entrance foyer. Elevator (access with Euro-key) located in entrance foyer on the right. Ticket office located on the First Floor to the left of the elevator door.
  • Bathrooms suitable for visitors with mobility impairments on every floor
  • Wheelchairs available free of charge (please reserve one day in advance)
  • 5 public parking-spaces reserved for disabled drivers on Heldenplatz

 

To reach the museum from the Westbahnhof
Take subway train U3 to the Volkstheater station.

To reach the museum from the Südbahnhof
Take street car D to the Burgring/Kunsthistorisches Museum stop.
