Our Lounge

Enjoy breathtaking views over Maria Theresien Square; the Lounge reserved exclusively for Friends – modern and elegantly appointed, it invites Friends to linger and relax.

The Friends’ Lounge is located on the Second Floor of the KHM and is open 10 am – 5 pm daily except on Mondays. Occasionally the Lounge may have to be closed temporarily for a private function.

How to get in

The Lounge is locked and can only be accessed by Friends. The “key” is a special card available at the information desk in the Entrance Hall.

Creature Comforts

The operator of the restaurant in the Cupola Hall has agreed to allow Friends to take their paid cup of coffee and slice of cake up to the Lounge. Please return empty cups and plates!

Round Table

The Friends‘ Lounge, however, is not only a place of leisure and inspiration, it is also a place of learning about art. For example, the “Round Table” hosts colloquia and expert discussions on a range of topics.
