By becoming a member you help to preserve and enlarge the extensive collections of the Kunsthistorisches Museum. The Friends support the conservation of artworks, the upkeep of historical showrooms and (during the last few years) the new installation of the reconfigured galleries of the Kunstkammer, scheduled to reopen in March 2013.

With your help the Friends also support various important research projects, and contribute to the financing of lectures and publications

The money raised by the Friends derives from annual membership fees and the sale of tickets to our numerous events:

• excellent lectures, gallery talks, seminars and panel discussions
• invitations to previews of various temporary exhibitions
• “behind the scenes” visits
• workshops held at the KHM’s Studio
• attractive day-trips and longer trips led by experts/museum curators

Donations also help augment the Friends’ financial resources.
