Ägyptisch-römisch, 2. Viertel 2. Jh. n. Chr.
Die Holztafel mit der gemalten Büste eines jungen Mannes ist ein kostbares Zeugnis der antiken Porträtmalerei und gehört zu den sogenannten ägyptisch-römischen Mumienporträts. Das Bildnis des jungen Mannes mit dicht gelockten Haaren und Bartflaum über den Lippen und am Kinn zeigt einen Malstil mit ausgeprägter Binnenzeichnung und kräftigen Konturen. Es dominieren die dunkel umrandeten braunen Augen mit strahlendem Augenweiß und winzigen Lichtreflexen. Der unbekannte Jüngling trägt eine Lockenfrisur, die an Jugendbildnisse des Kaisers Marc Aurel erinnert und eine Datierung in das 2. Viertel des 2. Jahrhunderts n. Chr. erlaubt.
