Wasservögel

Wasservögel bilden den figürliche Schmuck dieser geometrischen Kanne: In den vier Schulterbildern sind jeweils zwei von ihnen, vielleicht Gänse - in schematischer Darstellung mit schraffiertem Federkleid - wappenartig um ein Fischgrätmuster angeordnet. Die ornamental reich verzierte Kanne mit einem Deckel, dessen Knauf die Form eines Miniaturbechers hat, entstand in spätgeometrischer Zeit, für die diese flüchtige, impressionistische Malweise typisch ist.
