Die vielleicht von einem Grabmal stammende Kinderbüste ist rundum sehr fein gearbeitet. Der Knabe hat noch ausgeprägt kindliche Züge: einen großen Oberkopf, Pausbacken und eine Stupsnase; die Ohren sind stark abstehend. Sein ernsthafter Ausdruck wird durch den in die Ferne gerichteten Blick unterstrichen. Die charakteristische Büstenform, die Bildhauerarbeit und die Fransenfrisur ermöglichen eine Datierung des Kinderporträts in traianische bis frühhadrianische Zeit.
