Relief from the tomb of Meri-re

In the upper scene on the relief from the tomb of the treasurer and prince’s tutor Meri­ re, the tomb owner and his wife are depicted in prayer before a deity. In the lower register, Prince Si­atum sits on the lap of his tutor. The tomb owner, his wife, and the prince all have “ointment cones” made of fat mixed with perfume on their heads.
