Das beidseitig mit einer weißen Stuckschicht überzogene Holztäfelchen wurde für Schreib- und Zeichenübungen verwendet. Die teilweise fehlerhaften Texte sind in hieratisch geschrieben, einer auf Hieroglyphen basierenden Kursivschrift für den täglichen Gebrauch (z.B. zum raschen Verfassen von Briefen oder Abrechnungen). Als Zeichenübungen sind zwei Paviane und ein Pferdekopf zu sehen.
