Der Vogelkörper ist stark stilisiert, nur seitlich sind die Flügel durch eine Rille abgesetzt. Die gebohrten Augenhöhlen waren vermutlich mit Bein ausgelegt. An der Unterseite sind in der Mitte zwei Bohrungen nebeneinander zum Einsetzen der Beine aus anderem Material. Bisher sind nur wenige Falkenfiguren aus Stein in dieser Größe aus prähistorischer Zeit bekannt. Solche Steinfalken waren wahrscheinlich auf Stelen in Form der Palastfassade aufgesetzt, wie wir es aus Zeichnungen und dreidimensionalen kleinformatigen Darstellungen kennen. Das ist die erste Form des Horusnamens des Königs: Der Gott Horus sitzt in Falkengestalt auf dem Königspalast, in den der Name des Königs geschrieben ist.
