Standing figure of Snofru-nefer, a court official

The ‘Director of Singers at Court’ Snofru-nefer was responsible for the performances of music and dance at the palace. In spite of his responsible position he had himself depicted in this statue nude and without a wig. This youthful representation was probably intended to express his wish to be rejuvenated in the Hereafter.
