The Coronation of the Virgin Mary 1514
The traditional sequence of scenes from the life of Mary ends with her coronation following her assumption into heaven. Mary is crowned jointly by God the Father and the Son, with Christ wearing a tiara (the papal crown) and God the imperial crown. The panel probably served as an epitaph to keep the memory of the donor and his family (depicted at bootom) alive.
