The group of KHMembers includes individuals interested in art who want to get to know the sites and collections of the KHM-Museumsverband in all their facets and get in touch with other art-lovers.

KHMbassador

KHMbassadors are a group of international art enthusiasts who appreciate the priceless cultural value of our museums and collections and also want to get those around them interested in art, events and exhibitions. Also, KHMbassadors make a donation to help preserve our cultural heritage.

KHMbassadors are invited with an escort to exclusive exhibition previews, special tours by our curators outside opening hours, and personal encounters with Director General Sabine Haag. KHMbassadors' art and cultural program points are also available in English.

On the Backs of Camels

2. April, 6 p.m., Weltmuseum Wien
Meeting Point: Weltmuseum Wien, foyer

In 2024, the Weltmuseum Wien will be exploring the many facets of coexistence with dromedaries, bactrian camels, llamas and alpacas - camelids for short - in a special exhibition. All three curators will each present different aspects of this important animal species.

Meeting Point: KHM Foyer

The spring exhibition 2024 is dedicated to three outstanding pioneers of the Renaissance north of the Alps: Hans Holbein the Elder, Hans Burgkmair and Albrecht Dürer. Experience the fascinating works of these artists with curator Guido Messling and discover how Augsburg became the birthplace of the Renaissance in the north.

The conservation of objects from the various collections is an essential part of the museum's work. Elke Oberthaler shows us current works that are currently being worked on by the Picture Gallery's restoration workshop.
