Paintings from the Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien in a Paris Metro Station

19. April 2013

Kunsthistorisches Museum

WienTourismus has mounted a small art exhibition at Saint-Lazare, a Paris Metro station. On show are details from works in the Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien – each featuring the same motif: bare skin. The sensual details were selected and photographed by the artist Angelika Krinzinger.

The aim of this exhibition in a Metro station is to make great art accessible to all, said Director Norbert Kettner at the presentation of the show scheduled to run until April 25. At certain times docents will be on standby to explain the nudes to passers-by.

Anyone interested in seeing the originals is given information about offers for trips to Vienna.
